What is Cold Process Soap?

I make soap with the traditional cold process method. Fats/oils are mixed with lye  and water causing a reaction which turns them into soap. Oils are not heated so they retain their beneficial natural properties.  It is a slow process- soaps need to cure for 4-6 weeks before they are ready to use. These soaps are moisturizing and have a lovely creamy lather. They are good for your skin and good for the environment.

Natural soaps are high in glycerin which draws moisture to your skin and locks it in. ​

Soaps containing clay are oil absorbing and provide some extra slip which is great for shaving.
